Chez Pierre has MOVED is a boxed set of nine books that are handmade by

the artist.  Each book is 9.5 x 8 inches and contains between 15 and 19

images. Images are pigment ink printed on Red River Palo Dura paper. Hard

covers are linen and Epson Matte paper on book board. Edition limited to 10

sets.

Each title is composed with a set of images that when brought together

resonate and fall into a visual rhythm that somehow goes beyond the linear

narrative. The images are from New England where I live and the

southeastern states where I grew up and now visit.  I see myself as searching

for awareness and understanding in small places where I have a long

acquaintance. The photographs are for me a means of breaking these human

spaces down into fragments and slowing down the celestial clock that never

stops ticking.  The recombining of images in books becomes a means of

unlocking the human experience from each image, and in smallish and rather

personal ways trying to understand my part of this mostly bewildering age of

man.
